Mac & Cheese Bundle


All the basics for a hearty and delicious Mac & Cheese, all you need to add is some milk, butter, flour and a few spices. Serve this as a side at your next big dinner, or on its own with a green salad and watch the smiles light up.

PP's Mac & Cheese

We love to serve this with a hearty vegetable like broccoli, topped with a crunchy breadcrumb or panko topping.

To complete this dish, follow these steps:

  • Preheat oven to 400
  • Get a big pot of heavily salted water going.
  • Portion out the following:
  • 1 C of each cheese
  • 1/4 c of Butter
  • 1/4 c of a/p Flour
  • 2 c of milk
  • 1 - 1.5 tsp your favourite mustard
  • 1/4 tsp onion powder
  • 1/4 tsp garlic powder
  • about 2 C of Broccolli(ni) - if adding
  • Butter a baking dish or heavy skillet and put aside
  • Set a timer to cook pasta ≈ 2 min less than the package calls for
  • With about 2 min left on the pasta cooking time, add broccoli and parboil, draining all pasta water when the timer goes off
  • Meanwhile, In a medium saucepan, melt butter over med-low heat
  • When it is melted, add flour and whisk vigorously to create a roux
  • Once roux comes together, mix in mustard, and spices
  • Slowly add milk, whisking vigorously to ensure it comes together, and let it cook down for a couple of minutes.
  • Add Cheeses, about a half of each at a time, and continue to store over med-low heat until incorporated. 
  • Fold cheese sauce into pasta/ broccoli mixture, and transfer mixture to prepared dish
  • Cover with toasted breadcrumb/ panko and bake for 15-25 min depending on your oven.
  • Pull out, and serve from the dish, right at your table!
